This beautiful family was on holiday in Kiama from Victoria and decided to take the opportunity to get some natural photos taken together. Living on a river, they loved the idea of a session on a jetty at our beautiful Lake Illawarra.

Not many folks can do pregnancy with quite such aplomb as my beautiful friend Em.  She is thinking this might be their last baby and wanted to capture her beautiful bump so as to remember this time in years to come.  Long after the sleep deprivation and discomfort is forgotten, it will be these fragments of light and wonder that remain.

Beautiful Berry farmland in the magic golden hour before sunset. As good as it gets : )

Yes I may be biased, but after spending the morning trawling through our Kiama Tourism shoots, I’m 99.99% convinced Kiama is the most funkadelic place to live or go on holiday!

Paul and I have been very lucky to have been commissioned for a number of commercial photo shoots by Kiama Tourism over the last couple of years. Here is a just a small selection of the images we’ve added to their image library.

A beautiful, beautiful day!

We are so privileged to live where we do and even more so when we get to shoot a beautiful destination wedding such as this right in our doorstep in Kiama.

This newly married pair jetted off to Madagascar shortly after their wedding, the first of several months of time out exploring exotic destinations far and wide. I can’t think of a better way to kick off a lifetime together!

A gorgeous couple that drove down from Canberra to enjoy an afternoon together on the beach!

Love is the bedrock in every family. Documenting that love is my passion and the work of my heart.  With some families it is easy to capture, bubbling to the surface with ease and grace. With others it is more elusive, hidden behind social walls and protected from view. Most often the families I work with need gentle reassurance mixed with a good dose of distraction to relax and let down their guards in front of my camera, to feel free to show affection and closeness with a stranger watching on. This is a skill i’m always working on and that i’m proud to bring to my work.

Every now and again however, a family comes along that are just naturally open, close, affectionate and loving and my job simply becomes one of capturing the best light, colour, angles and smiles.

These parents raised their three girls in Kiama but all now live far and wide across Australia. The three of them generously clubbed together to buy their parents some updated family photos for Christmas this year and I was able to capture them as they reunited for this special family time. It was obvious to anyone watching these guys how important “family” is to them. I fervently hope one day my grown up kids come home to visit us such joy and love in their hearts! To me, that would be a parenting job well done.

A picture perfect, if a little blustery, afternoon in Gerringong. We first met under a beautiful fig tree at the Crooked River Winery, a favourite haunt for these two, and then jumped in the car on a misson to find a little sun trap away from the gale force winds on Werri Beach; which luckily we found…thank you mother nature for glorious steep wind breaking cliffs!

This beautiful couple , newly engaged after being together for years, wanted me to to document this time in their lives, to capture a genuine moment between the two of them  and their delightful Cavoodle dog. To have an image that could be their own little window back in time, always to this peaceful afternoon spent drinking red wine with their love, in the long grass, under a beautiful fig tree, on a windy sunshiny day.

A wonderfully relaxed and easy going wedding followed by a fabulous party with friends and family at the Coogee Surf Lifesaving Club! So delighted to have been there to capture the afternoon for these guys : )
