Evidence that yes…. winter is, indeed, a beautiful season for family photos! My guide for this session, Oonagh, told me that it would be impossible to shoot on this bridge in the summer due the number of people trying to cross the river to the beach. But for our session the bridge and beach were virtually deserted and after a bit of running around, the kids soon shed their winter coats, enjoying the fresh sea air! I really enjoyed hanging out with these three siblings and i’m delighted with the photographs we captured together too.

I’m so excited to be exploring and shooting down here at last.  Thanks so much for the wonderful response to my Kisschasey Giveway and all the awesome suggestions you guys have emailed to me. So many options for you lucky South Coasters! I’ve got several shoots in different parts of the region lined up so stay tuned for much more South Coast goodness!

I photographed this gorgeous family earlier in the year in some beautiful early morning light. The sea was still, the sun was warm, the breeze light and cooling on our skin…oh summer….please come back soon!

The not so beautiful weather we are having at the moment is being quite disruptive to my best laid plans! Three shoots postponed in as many days : / But the good news is… a last minute spot is now available on my great Kisschasey GIVEAWAY! If you are looking for someone to beautifully capture your family, just as they are…. Get booked in ASAP : )

I have THOUSANDS of images of these boys. Almost every time we venture out at weekends or our adventures during the week either Paul or I will bring our camera. I love shooting my kids. Unfortunately 95% of of these shots never see the light of day as editing, proofing and posting is such a labour intensive process and my client shoots always come first when the time comes to sit in front of the computer.

This morning I was challenged by a friend to do something today that is always on your “someday” list but you never get around to : )

Being a parent is not always exactly as I imagined in my head all those years I spent wishing for it. It is hard work and often a thankless task! Yesterday however was one of those days that make all that hard work seem effortless and worthwhile. As I wrote on my facebook status last night:

Beautiful blue sky peaceful autumn day, morning spent cleaning the house, afternoon spent playing outside under the autumn trees, impromptu photo shoot with my very own darling boys, donuts from the berry donut van followed by delicious Sunday roast dinner, glass of red as watch Masterchef… satisfied sigh as I shuffle off to bed!

My challenge this morning was not to let these images languish unloved on my harddrive. They are too precious xx

This was such a lovely relaxed session documenting a family at home, just being who they are; together.  It was such a joy to be able to record these memories for you. Plenty more where these came from too : )

My brief: EIGHT grandchildren in one shot with all their beautiful smiling heads facing forward : ) Thankfully they were all darling and incredibly good listeners! A surprise present for Grandma for her birthday next month. Autumn really is such a beautiful time of year to get photos done…the colours and light are just divine.

Newborns are just one of my most favourite subjects to photograph. How could they not be… just look at this adorable baby:

To celebrate the launch of Kisschasey on the South Coast, we are offering seven FREE shoots! Yes, that’s right. Totally free. Including 10 high resolution digital negatives (over $1000 in value). You are then free to personally print as many copies of these images as you would like for your friends and family.

Sydney guys and gals….pass this offer onto your South Coast friends…these shoots will not last for long!

What is the catch?

  • you must pick one of the locations listed below (unless you are lucky enough to snap up one of the wildcards!)
  • you must live locally ie on the South Coast between Wollongong and Nowra
  • you must sign a model release that allows me to use your images for marketing Kisschasey (blog, website, flyers etc)
  • you must agree to book your shoot first thing in the morning or late afternoon when the sun is low on the horizon and light is soft and gorgeous. One or two hours after sunrise or before sunset!
  • If you love your experience of your shoot with me, i’d really like it if you told all your friends and family – I have referral bonuses which will apply!!
  • A CD of the entire shoot (each session normally yields around 30 to 40 images) can be purchased for $500; but you are under no obligation to do so.
  • FIVE shoots of these shoots are earmarked for families only
  • TWO shoots are earmarked for couples or ‘soon to be’ mums (ie 30 to 36 weeks pregnant)

Why I am doing this:

  • I want to explore this beautiful region with my camera and my favourite subjects…families, kids and couples in love.
  • I want to introduce myself to families that live locally and show you how I work
  • I want to celebrate the launch of our new business with an awesome GIVEAWAY…cause you know, it feels good to give!

Where do I want to shoot:

  • Minnamurra river and headland {blissful headland views and lazy river backdrops}
  • Gerroa inlet and seven mile beach {wild windy beach and ocean vistas}
  • Berry mountain {rocky creeks and autumn trees}
  • Werri beach rockpools {family beach fun}
  • Jamberoo bush walk {rainforest and escarpment views}
  • Wildcard x 2 – you tell ME your favourite places to spend your time in the Illawarra/Shoalhaven region!

Call me on 0400 402 251 or email me to book in a time and date.  Check out how we work and preparing for a shoot pages on our website for more information about what to expect from a Kisschasey shoot!
